'A' Grade Status
In November 2006, Connaught Academy was awarded a presitigious acccolade following a visit from City & Guilds.
Twice yearly, City & Guilds undertake an External Verification visit conducted by the Lead External Verifier for the UK. As a result of inspecting all aspects of delivery and management for the NVQ in Plumbing, Connaught Academy was awarded an 'A' Grade in all aspects of qualification delivery making it the first centre in Wales to achieve top status.
Connaught Academy is the first centre in Wales to be awarded this grading and one of only a few in the whole of the UK. All elements came in for a great deal of praise but particular mention was given to management systems, candidate support lecturers delivering far over and above normal levels, internal verification and tracking systems.
This is a fantastic seal of quality given by the UK’s top inspector.
