Connaught Academy is proud to hold the CTP (Careers Transition Partnerships) Preferred Supplier status, and be part of the Enhanced Learning Credit Scheme; our registration number is 1880 and can be checked with ELCAS at any time.
The scheme
The Ministry of Defence (MoD) Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELC) is an initiative to promote Lifelong Learning amongst members of the Armed Forces. The ELC Scheme provides financial support in the form of a single upfront payment in each of a maximum of three separate financial years. Candidates are reminded that ELC funding is only available for pursuit of higher level learning i.e. courses that result in a nationally recognised qualification at Level 3 or above on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) (England and Wales), a Level 6 or above on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) or, if pursued overseas, an approved international equivalent qualification.
Applications for Scheme Membership
ELC scheme candidates must complete and submit an application form either in their first twelve months of enlistment or in the window between eight and eight and a half years from enlistment. Applications are not permitted at any other time. Application forms must arrive with ELCAS within one calendar month of the end of your chosen registration window.
Personnel with interrupted service must complete and submit a non-continuous service form with their registration. This may include time spent as full-time Reserve Service Personnel and non regular permanent staff.
