17th edition

 

The 17th edition of BS7671:2008 wiring regulations came into publication on the 21st of January 2008. Any installation will have to comply with the 17th edition of BS7671 if it is designed constructed or tested from the 1st July 2008.

The Wiring Regulations are the national standard to which all domestic and industrial wiring must conform it contains 7 sections dealing with all electrical installation design issues. This is a must for the C&G 2381/82 exam and the C&G 2391

There are two programmes available

2382-10 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671: January 2008)

This is for students who have not previously achieved any qualifications that relate to the requirements of electrical installations. Students who have not achieved the 16th edition related to BS 7671 since the 2001 edition will need to take the full 2382-10 qualification.

2382-20 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations Update (BS 7671: January 2008)

This is for students who have previously achieved the 2381 qualification and need an ‘update’ qualification covering the changes to the regulations. Students will have to verify that they hold a recent 2381 certificate to be eligible for this course.
