Electrical Part P Defined Scope B
In order for electrical installers to self-certify that your domestic electrical installation work in England and Wales is compliant with the Building Regulations, you must be registered with a competent person scheme, such as NICEIC Domestic Installer Scheme. All applicants to this scheme must meet a number of requirements, in particular be able to demonstrate you have the ability to install, inspect, test and certify your work in accordance with BS 7671 and to comply with the relevant building regulations.
This course meets all the needs of the competent person scheme. The emphasis of the qualification is understanding regulations, standards, terminology, together with having the ability to identify unsafe electrical situations and perform electrical test procedures. Knowledge and appreciation of the relevant requirements of other appropriate Building Regulations is also covered during the course.

Qualification
