Heating and Ventilating
Heating and Ventilation fitters install heating, ventilation, air conditioning and extraction systems in all types of domestic, industrial and commercial buildings.
Systems range from chilled water air conditioning and/or central heating to pipework for transportation of natural gas. Fitting involves installation of boilers, radiators, pumps and pipework by working to detailed plans and specifications. Fitters work with a variety of materials and therefore need to understand the properties and limitations of each type. Some fitters may be involved in setting up service and maintenance programmes.
Connaught Academy is accredited with the awarding body City & Guilds to deliver these qualifications.
Technical Certificate Level 3 in Heating and Ventilating
This is an advanced level qualification and provides the knowledge and theory you need to undertake the Level 3 NVQ. You will cover some of the same areas as for the Level 2 but at a more advanced level. There is a multiple choice test at the end of the course.
