Renewable Energy

Wind turbines

The use of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind and hydraulic energies is very old. These energy sources have been used for many centuries and their applications have continued throughout history until the industrial revolution and were abandoned at which time due to the low price of fuel.

During recent years due to the increase in fossil fuel prices and the environmental problems caused by the use of conventional fuels, the world is gradually reverting back to renewable energy sources.

Renewable energies are inexhaustible, clean and they can be used in the same place as they are produced. They have the additional advantage of being able to integrate between each other, e.g. solar and wind energy.

Solar energy has no impact on the environment. Therefore it does not produce waste, fumes, powders, vapours, noises or smells. As it is the only natural energy and origin of all the other sources, it does not pollute nature, nor affect the countryside with pylons or electrical lines.

In light of the impending environmental concerns and seeking out available alternative energy sources for continuously growing supply demands, Connaught Academy are able to provide solar energy training courses.

Solar Water Heating Systems

The market for trained solar domestic hot water installers is growing. This course has been developed in conjunction with the Solar Trade Association (STA), the UK trade association for solar water heating systems. The course is aimed at already qualified or experienced domestic heating engineers and plumbers.
